What is Power of Sharing

Society is constantly changing due to its organic nature therefore it’s sustenance and development substantially depend upon an understanding of sharing. If you have more than what you need, it can turn into someone’s treasure. Our job as living beings is to be sensitive not only to our needs but as well as for the needs of others.

As a mother as well as an educator, I am a firm believer in the phrase “It takes a village to raise a child”. I believe that it is e everyone’s responsibility to do their part to make this world a better place. Along with that belief, I also understand that the world is big and faced by many complicated issues, and it can be very difficult sometimes where one can start from since I  myself was overwhelmed and went through with these demotivating endless self-dialogues which do nothing but hold you back from doing good. This state of going in circles takes one’s energy of doing his part away and let the community suffer.

Every member of the human community needs to understand its vitality as an integral part of this social fabric that he or she is part of. The internalization of our existence and its value to our immediate community can be our starting point. In the case of my own story, I started by taking initiative to make a difference and encouraged others in my immediate circle to do the same. While monetary contributions are obviously important but are not the only means by which one can make difference. From passing a smile to being physically present and willing to assist others, can also do magic.

In the last ten years of my journey, I may not have contributed a lot in terms of numbers but what I have learned and shared is priceless. While they may not seem impressive in the grand scheme of things, but those small steps and contributions have made big difference in the lives of many here in GTA and abroad.

It has been ten years of Random Acts of Kindness. Now it is time to organize it to extend the network and services.
